Independance Day!

Happy Birthday to our Country!
What a wonderful weekend we had here on the Jersey Shore this weekend. I have to say the best part about where we live is that in less than 5 minutes we can be sitting on the beach and that is exactly what we did. Saturday was an amazing day and the boys has a blast.
Sunday was a bit of a wash as it rained most of the day but we were very fortunate to be able to see the Kaboom Fireworks in Red Bank with our favorite family The Lombardos.
We grab a quick bite to eat before heading back to the Building that we were going to watch the fireworks from . This was our view.

we finished off the weekend with a family BBQ and the kids had a blast. They were water rats and had to be begged to come out of the pool to watch the fireworks. The big hit of the BBQ was the Cupcakes in a jar that the boys and I made and the apple pie in a jar (forgot to take pictures of that and must do a tutorial on that one)

Also made my Black Bean and Corn Salad. MMMM! All while Skyping with Daddy! (he is in Kuwait working)

Well we are off to Dallas (me for business) and Austin (kids to stay with my SIL and their cousins).
Will take lots of pics and let you know how the trip is.
Toodles!

Happy St Patricks Day

So here in New Jersey we have alot of St. Patricks Day parades. Well we have a tradition in our family and we go every year to a very dear friends house for a big St Patricks day party the day of the Belmar St. Patricks parade (lets see how many time I can say St. Patricks) It looked like it was going to be an OK day the rain stopped and we walked to the parade ready for some Pipes and Drums (i love me some bagpipes!) but the rain wonout and we had to leave the parade early and went back to the house for 50lbs of corn beef and cabbage and the best Pistachio cake in the world!

So Happy St. Patricks Day! Pics to come

What a Great Party.

Thank you to House Party and Perler Beads. We had a great party with the boys and the bead projects. We made Monkeys and Lizards. It was so much fun and the boys got so creative with there bead projects, then we added the Key Chain that came with them. Hope to get invited to do another party soon. This was such a great experience and I can not wait to do it again. We have a few kits left over so I think I am going to use them for dour Cub Scout meeting, the boys will have so much fun putting them together.

Enjoy the pics. Go visit House Party and see what great things you and your family and friends can do. (and it free)

Waiting for our guests.
